About OMAD
OMAD was founded by Ze Yan — a New York-based formulator with personal experience of eczema-prone skin and a deep grounding in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The brand draws on TCM's principle that skincare is wellness, that mind, body and spirit are interconnected, and that no single herb works in isolation.
OMAD's formulations combine carefully selected botanical herbs using time-tested methods, paired with modern bio-fermentation technology. Vegan, cruelty-free, and built around restoring balance rather than chasing quick fixes.
The philosophy
In TCM, the skin is read as a map of internal balance. Inflammation, dryness, congestion, sensitivity — each is treated as a symptom of something deeper. OMAD's formulations are built around this principle: address the root, and the surface follows.
The brand's signature ingredients reflect this philosophy. Snow mushroom, considered a yin tonic in Chinese medicine, hydrates the skin the way natural hyaluronic acid does. Fermented rice water forms the base of OMAD's iconic biocellulose mask. Botanical herbs are selected in synergy, never in isolation, because TCM teaches that one herb alone is never enough.
The skin's pH is finely balanced, like yin and yang. OMAD formulates to draw the skin back to that balance, gently.
